Honoring the Season your Body is in.

I recently shifted my eating toward to whole-food plant-based. I've eaten this way before with wonderful results. I feel a lightness in my chest, deep clarity in my mind, steady energy, restful sleep, minimal anxiety. It's an incredible way to eat (for me). For those that don't know what WFPB eating is- food has no added sugar, oil, or salt. Alcohol is omitted. No animal products either.
What makes this fascinating is that I live on a working homestead. Our land produces eggs, chicken, turkey, and pork. The fuel that feeds my family beautifully every single day. Yet, right now, my body is asking for something else.
It reminded me that our bodies are not stagnant machines. They are ecosystems, constantly shifting through different seasons of life. Just as the soil requires different nutrients depending on what it’s growing, our nervous systems and tissues require different inputs at different times. When we stop trying to force our bodies into rigid, external boxes and listen to the subtle feedback they give us, the response can be immediate.
Every body has its own language, and every nervous system has its own season. You don't need a perfect protocol or to do the latest trending wellness fad; you may just
need to listen to what is true for you right now. Take a deep breath, drop your shoulders, and ask yourself: What season is my body in today, and what does it actually need to feel supported?
