What Is Interflow?

Updated: Feb 19

A Somatic Movement Practice in Mexico, NY

Interflow used to be called Beginner Yoga.

When I started teaching yoga again in 2023, I wanted to create a space where women didn’t feel like they had to be a certain way to show up.

A place to move without pressure.

A place that felt accepting and judgment-free.

A place where you could meet yourself exactly where you’re at.

The classes grew, and inevitably evolved over time.

As I continue studying (somatics, nervous system regulation, strength training, myofascial release, therapeutic massage, meditation, and sound healing), those elements naturally started blending into my movement classes.

At some point, calling it Beginner Yoga didn’t fit anymore.

It wasn’t just yoga. And it wasn’t just for beginners.

It became Interflow.

Why Interflow?

Inter means inward.

This practice is about internal sensing and discovering— learning how to feel your body from the inside instead of only performing movement from the outside.

You notice:

  • Breath patterns

  • Muscle tension

  • Activation

  • Fatigue

  • Effort

  • Recovery

  • The polarities that exist within and throughout us

Flow reflects something just as important.

Your nervous system is always moving between states — activation and rest, strength and softness, effort and recovery.

Interflow is designed to respect that natural ebb and flow.

What Interflow Is (and Isn’t)

It’s not performance-based yoga. It’s not a bootcamp workout. It’s not just stretching.

It’s somatic movement grounded in nervous system awareness.

You’re not pushed. You’re not forced. You’re invited to build self-trust.

Interflow blends yoga, strength training, myofascial release, and nervous system regulation into one evolving movement practice.

It started as Beginner Yoga.

It became something deeper.

And it continues to evolve — just like we do.

Where you can take classes:

Live Online Interflow (Digital Studio)

I teach Interflow live online on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7–8am through my Digital Studio.

These sessions include:

  • 30 minutes of strength-based somatic movement

  • 15 minutes of myofascial release

  • A closing meditation for nervous system regulation

The strength work is slow and intentional. We focus on a few movements and build capacity without overriding your system.

After effort, we practice recovery.

You leave feeling steadier, more grounded. Not overstimulated.

If you’re looking for online somatic movement classes focused on nervous system regulation, this is that space.

UNIFY Health and Living Studio

Mexico, NY

My in-person Interflow classes in Mexico, NY are small group (currently capped at four women).

Each session is responsive.

If the group feels depleted, we pivot. If there’s energy to build heat, we build it. Some days lean restorative. Some days are more strength-forward. Some days are deeply somatic and slow.

The class adapts to the nervous systems in the room.

4 people per class, max. These are small, intimate & individualized.

Schedule for in-person Interflow at UNIFY Studio:
