Bridging the Gap in Healthcare

Finding clarity in the in-between.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what this space—The Wellness Hub—is really here for.
Sure, it's a collection of tools, classes, and conversations... but it's also something deeper. Its a bridge for a huge gap in healthcare.
Not a bridge to some perfect version of health or to an all-natural lifestyle. Not even a bridge away from conventional medicine. It’s a bridge to yourself—to that quiet knowing, that gut feeling that often gets drowned out by noise, fear, or one-size-fits-all advice.
Most of us are living somewhere in between. Between “just do what your doctor says” and “ditch it all and go full crunchy.” Between being curious about natural living and not wanting to give up everything modern. Between wanting to feel better and having no idea where to start.
That was me, too. Especially when I was navigating anxiety, insomnia, and chronic health stuff that didn’t fit neatly into a medical box. I had to learn (the hard way) how to trust myself, how to pause before choosing a path just because it worked for the majority, and how to listen for the one thing that actually felt right.
That’s what I hope people can find here. Not “answers.” Not fixes. But the space to explore, ask questions, and reconnect with the part of themselves that knows what feels right.
I created this space because I know what it’s like to feel lost in the middle—when you're struggling, exhausted, and none of the standard answers seem to fit. You try the things that should work, and they don’t. You question your body, your brain, your choices. You’re told to “trust the process,” but what if the process isn’t built for you?
When I was in the thick of my own anxiety and insomnia spiral, I felt like I was constantly stuck in this tug-of-war. I didn’t want to rely on medications, but I was terrified to try herbs. I didn’t trust my doctors, even though I liked them. I didn’t trust myself, even though deep down, I knew something wasn’t right.
I had this belief that I could heal. I could feel it. But believing it and acting on it felt so far apart. I wasn’t sleeping. I was spiraling.
Eventually, I had this moment where it hit me: no one was coming to save me. Not a prescription. Not a protocol. Not even the perfect “natural” plan. If I was going to heal, I had to start tuning in. Not to what worked for most people, but to what actually felt aligned for me.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t some clear, linear path. I tried meds. I tried herbs. I tried doing absolutely nothing at all—which somehow felt like the hardest thing. I spiraled. I shut down. I panicked. I tried again. I was scared of everything.
And eventually, after a lot of trial and error, and working with a provider who really saw me, I found a way forward. Not because it was the answer, but because—for the first time—it actually felt like it matched my body and my intuition.
That’s what I want people to find here. Not a one-size-fits-all plan. Not pressure to choose a camp. Just enough space to slow down, reconnect, and decide what’s right for you.
You don’t need to overhaul your life overnight. You don’t need to reject modern medicine or adopt a 100% holistic lifestyle. You just need to begin. To find one thing that feels like a step toward yourself.
That’s what I hope The Wellness Hub can be for you.
Whether it’s tuning in to a conversation with a functional medicine provider, trying a new recipe, joining a yoga class, or just exploring a new idea—you’re welcome to come as you are. No pressure. No labels. Just curiosity and care.
I'm chatting with a functional medicine nurse practitioner, Shellie, NP, this week inside the Hub— if you’ve ever felt stuck between “this doesn’t feel right” and “I don’t know what else to do,” I hope you’ll listen in once it's posted. You might hear something that lands. Or maybe it’s just the reminder that you’re not alone on the journey.
Either way, you’re invited.
