Permission to be yourSelf
Before you answer these questions, pause for a second and tune into your body.
Place your hand on your chest if it feels right. Just notice any sensations in your body. Let yourself be fully here.
Then ask yourself these questions (and trust whatever answers arise):
Who are you when nobody needs anything from you?
Not the mom, the partner, the employee, the friend who holds it together. Just you. What does she feel like? What does she want? What does she quietly wish someone would ask her about?
Where in your body do you feel most like yourself? And where do you feel the most disconnected from who you actually are?
What version of you shows up most often during the day, and is she the “real” you, or the one you learned to be?
What would you do, say, feel, or allow yourself to need if you knew nobody would be disappointed?
And finally, what is one small thing you could give yourself permission to be, feel, or do today that is just for you?
There are no right answers here. There is only what is true for you right now.
